Desertide 11
The Humiliation of Christ Westminster Larger Catechism 46-50, Shorter Catechism 27 OT: Exodus 13-18 NT: Hebrews 8-13 Psalms 138-145 |
The Old Testament readings in Exodus carry the narrative from the departure of God’s people from Egypt, through His final defeat of the Egyptians in facilitating His people’s crossing of the Red Sea, to the very foot of Mount Sinai, where He will give them His law. This is the climatic deliverance of the Old Covenant.
The New Testament readings cover the latter half of the letter to the Hebrews and the Psalms close out the Psalms of David.
